Salt Lake Chef Awarded Chef of the Year Salt Lake City, Utah - Bernhard Götz CEC the Executive Chef for the
Little America Hotel was awarded Regional Chef of the Year™ at the
American Culinary Federation Western Regional Conference Monday
April 21, 2008.
Chef Götz has been with the Little America Hotel property since 2004
and came with an impressive history of over 40 years of experience
and expertise in the culinary world. “The Little America Hotel is
lucky to have this caliber of Chef and we are proud to have Chef
Götz as a member of our team” states Maureen Leavitt, Director of
Catering.
Chef Götz was nominated by his colleagues in
the local ACF Beehive State Chapter. After his rigorous qualifying
rounds Chef Götz advanced to compete in the Western Regional
Conference held April 19 - 21, 2008 in Salt Lake City. During the
convention 4 Chefs’ competed for the honor of wining the Regional
Chef of the Year™ and the right to compete for the U.S.A Chef of the
Year™ this July. According to Ed Box, General Manager of the Little
America Hotel, “Chef Götz is an extraordinary culinary professional
creating a camaraderie and family like atmosphere. We have no doubt
he will come home a winner!”
